- What if none of the dates work? There are dates scheduled throughout May and June. Please contact us if you have any questions or will be gone the entire summer.
- Camp Cowboy vs. Alpha vs. New Student Orientation:
OSU offers multiple programs for incoming freshmen. The only one that is REQUIRED of all incoming students is New Student
Orientation and Enrollment. During Orientation you will meet with your adviser and enroll for the fall 2008 semester. You cannot enroll until you have completed an Orientation session.
Camp Cowboy, Alpha and This is the Life are all optional programs geared toward different aspects of campus life. There are links to Alpha and Camp Cowboy on the left with contact information for each. We strongly encourage you to consider coming for one of these events in addition to your orientation and enrollment. The information you receive at each comes from a different angle on campus life.
- Where can I stay for New Student Orientation? Residence Hall reservations for the overnight sessions may be made for the night before and the night of Orientation. The cost is $25/night for students and $40/night for a family, linens are provided. Just call the Scott Hall Guest Housing office at 405-744-4471 to make your reservations. If you prefer to stay off campus, other accommodations can be found by clicking the "Travel & Accomodations" link at the left.

In order to cover the cost of meals, material, Orientation staff, etc a fee of $20 will be assessed to each guest. To be sure parents receive the specialized family programming to compliment the student programming, we organize campus services and discussion areas to answer family questions throughout the orientation program.
- What will we do there? Oklahoma State University welcomes new freshmen each year during specialized summer sessions designed to help you learn about the opportunities ahead and prepare you for the transition you will make from high school to the University. When you have completed orientation you will be enrolled in classes for the fall semester, assigned an academic advisor, have a Student ID, and will be better informed on what to expect in August.
