If I Knew Then...

A few Words of Wisdom

• Bring at least one business casual outfit to school with you.  You never know when you’ll need it.

• Mortar board (the planner you can buy at the Union) will save your life at least twice.

• Find out where your classes are before school starts so you don't get lost the first day.

• Be organized- write down when all of your projects are due in your Mortar Board.

• There are three bookstores in town- CHECK PRICES!

• You probably won’t need the biggest meal plan you can get.

• Talk to upperclassmen in your major and make sure that’s really what you want to do. 

• Upperclassmen also come in handy with picking professors or finding books.

• Get involved on campus, but not so much that it affects your school work.

• Get to know people in your classes. It's always good to have people to study with.

• Just because your professor says you don’t have to come to class, does not mean don’t come to class.  Grades are generally correlated with attendance.

• Most of your assignments are due in the last few weeks of school, don't let them sneak up on you.
  
• You actually have to study in college, so be prepared.
