If I Knew Then...
A few Words of Wisdom
- Bring at least one business casual outfit to school with you. You never know when you’ll need it.
- Mortar board (the planner you can buy at the Union) will save your life at least twice.
- Find out where your classes are before school starts so you don't get lost the first day.
- Be organized- write down when all of your projects are due in your Mortar Board.
- There are three bookstores in town- CHECK PRICES!
- You probably won’t need the biggest meal plan you can get.
- Talk to upperclassmen in your major and make sure that’s really what you want to do.
- Upperclassmen also come in handy with picking professors or finding books.
- Get involved on campus, but not so much that it affects your school work.
- Get to know people in your classes. It's always good to have people to study with.
- Just because your professor says you don’t have to come to class, does not mean don’t come to class. Grades are generally correlated with attendance.
- Most of your assignments are due in the last few weeks of school, don't let them sneak up on you.
- You actually have to study in college, so be prepared.
