Adjusting to life as a college student is challenging. As parents and family members, we want to help our students make the most of the tremendous opportunities ahead. Oklahoma State University takes pride in its active parents and family members who partner with us to help lead students to success as you share in the excitement and adjust to your student's growth into the OSU family.  We encourage a partnership between your family and OSU as we strive to provide every resource your student needs to transition smoothly and excel.

Transitioning to a University brings a time when many will test limits as they grow and explore the world around them.  While they still call on family for grounding and support, students must often learn what works best for them as individuals.  During this time, OSU encourages you to become our partner in your student’s academic pursuits.  Stay in close contact with your student as he or she works through the transition to new freedoms and increased responsibility.  If you have questions, you may contact any of our offices or the offices of your student's academic advising office.  We’ll do whatever we can to provide the resources to connect you with the most appropriate campus offices.
