Advice to Freshman Students: Utilize a calendar—paper, digital, or BOTH. Prior to college, I never used a calendar to organize my life. That changed once I stepped foot on campus. Checking items off a to-do list is a great feeling!
Interests/Hobbies: I really enjoy traveling! It does not matter if I am traveling the country or across the great state of Oklahoma, I am having a great time. I love visiting new places, learning about their history and eating at unique local restaurants that highlight the town or city.
Interesting Fact: I have snorkeled at the Great Barrier Reef and have hiked in an Australian rainforest and the Outback!
What EMPOWER’S you? Helping others succeed empowers me. Being a classroom teacher was very rewarding because my number one goal was to help all of my students succeed, both in and out of the classroom. Helping students achieve their goals gets me excited to go to work and be a part of this great University.
