New Student Orientation & Enrollment

Welcome New Cowboys!

What is New Student Orientation & Enrollment?

New Student Orientation and Enrollment, required for all incoming students, explains campus resources, familiarizes students & families with campus, and concludes with academic advisement and enrollment.

New Freshmen

Programs for first time freshmen occur between May and July for students beginning in summer or fall and in November and December for those beginning in the spring semester. The standard summer orientation is an overnight session where students meet with academic advisers in multiple settings and have time to consider course options prior to enrollment. An alternate one day option covers enrollment only.

Transfer Students

Transfer Students have several options for their Enrollment Program. For those admitted early, Transfer Enrollment in April or November is the first opportunity to meet with advisers and enroll for the upcoming semester. For those admitted closer to the semester start, an alternative program during the weeks leading up to the first day of class is available.

Concurrent Students

Students who choose to concurrently enroll in high school and college courses will visit with the New Student Orientation Office prior to enrollment in classes. This program will work around your current class schedule.
